At the end of the semester, the project is finally winding down. This week, Aiden and I spent much of our time finishing up our prototype, and preparing for our presentation.

Prototype

Here is a link to our final prototype, created using Figma. The prototype shows off the structure of the website, as well as how it would function on a basic level. There would be three main pages, a home page, form, and resources page, that would showcase. The home page explains what exactly the website does, and what our goal would be, and directs you to the form. The form itself would allow someone to enter the information of a business/organization that they had a bad experience with, and allow them to send a packet/email of educational resources to them anonymously. On the resources page, it would likely show the user some of the resources that are being send, such as articles and/or videos from GLAAD, TSER, or similar resource websites.

Presentation

We created a short presentation to show in class, to explain our process throughout the whole project. We restated everything from beginning to end in a short coherent format, that we’ll expand upon during the class presentation.

Reflection

Overall, this project has been a challenge. Learning how to research in new ways was definitely something that was out of my comfort zone. In the future I’ll try to better understand why some research methods would work better than others in certain spaces. Overall, though, I’m pretty happy with how our prototype turned out. It’s definitely something I think is needed, and something that I would use the next time the need arose.
